It is the role of WSA to assist and empower clients to resolve difficulties, to foster healthy relationships and to develop skills and resources that will help them live independent and fulfilling lives.
With this in mind, WSA staff respect the right of each client to make free and informed choices about her life and about appropriate support choices. WSA staff will assist each client to access information that will help her to make informed choices and to ensure that information is presented in a manner which is helpful for the client.
Case management is conducted in a collaborative and transparent manner. Support workers explain the case management process to their clients and help them to develop and implement a plan of action. Staff are mindful of the potential vulnerability of their clients and options are discussed with each client to help her explore the possible outcomes of various choices. Case plans are both client-focused and flexible to meet the changing needs of each client.
